General Motors has been partnering with the Ventec Life Systems for helping the increase in production of the ventilators which are needed in the hospitals which are dealing with the patients who have the coronavirus, the company had announced on this Friday. In most severe of the cases of the Coronavirus infection, the patients are needing the assistance of the ventilators for breathing and there are concerns widespread that US doesn’t have as many ventilators for meeting the demand which is coming. The Ventec which is based in Seattle has been among the handful of manufacturers of ventilator in the United States and has been ramping its production up. The CEO of the company has been aiming for the production of 1,000 machines in one month in the coming few days and therefore eventually producing 2,000 ventilators in one month.
Ventec has been relying on the manufacturing of the General Motors, logistics and the purchase for the heling in the building of a lot of ventilators a lot more quickly. The chairman of General Motors and the CEO of General Motors Mary Barra has said in the statement that GM is going to continue the exploration of ways in the helping in times of crises.
The other automakers include the Volkswagen and Ford also reportedly have contacted White House for seeing how they may help in the production of ventilator. The CEO of Elon Musk has tweeted that Space X and Tesla employees have been working on the ventilators and in spite of the tweet which has come from the Mayor of New York City that machines have been definitely needed. Musk has not provided any more details about where or when the companies have been producing machines.
